The first truck to leave the Krug Expedition factory in 2019 was a MAN TGM 18.290, which was custom-designed for a couple World Roamers planning to travel the world full time for as long as possible. This expedition vehicle is therefore fully equipped to provide a comfortable, 100% self-sufficient living space that will go anywhere. It has a liquid heating system, air conditioning, water filtration and many other features onboard.
The freshwater system features a UV treatment unit which eliminates germs and bacteria in the water taken from external natural sources. Drinking water is further treated by a Seagull extra-fine ceramic filter. This system allows greater independence for the crew as they can fill the freshwater tanks with any type of water available.
The interior features the best materials available – the furniture is finished with a varnished natural wood veneer, leather dinette cushions, Corian countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, heavy-duty vinyl plank flooring, stainless steel cabinet hardware, LED lighting and many other eye-pleasing details. Both the shower and toilet have glass doors, which adds extra luxury to the interior.
This floor plan was designed for two travellers with a separate toilet and shower in the front, extended kitchen area and a pantry with slide-out drawers in the midsection, followed by a large C-shaped dinette and a queen-sized bed at the rear of the living unit.
The kitchen is with fully equipped with a Miele induction hob and microwave combi oven range hood, Vitrifrigo 360L stainless steel fridge/freezer combination, Nespresso coffee machine, large Franke stainless-steel sink with actuated high-quality faucet and a separate tap for drinking water. To bring more natural light inside, we have added a larger window along the kitchen worktop.
Additionally, the cabin has everything for a carefree prolonged stay with a 4kW diesel generator, approximately 1300 kW of solar power, a Bosch washing machine/dryer, a Samsung 32″ Smart TV on a vertical motorized slide-out built behind the dinette and even a PlayStation.
The module is mounted on a heavy-duty MAN TGM 4x4 18-ton chassis that is capable of coping with the roughest terrain in the harshest weather conditions. All these components combined make a remarkable expedition vehicle you can always rely on.
